Let’s change the world together

Welcome to Saving the Blue Heart or STBH, where we make our contribution towards plastic pollution in the oceans, specifically, but not restricted to only oceans. Plastic pollution is a major issue and one of the reasons why is because we don’t often realize or care about where the plastic we dispose off goes. Today, we change that.

There are about 5.25 trillion pieces of macro and micro plastics in our oceans today. 2.5 tonnes of carbon dioxide is generated by producing 1 tonne of plastic. We need to provide solutions, impacts and contributions from various parts of the community so that these numbers don’t rise higher than they already are.

Plastic production and consumption are predicted to double over the next decade or so. If we don’t take action, 300 million metric tonnes of plastics could be in the ocean, just floating around. What impact could this have on human life?
